Never a Dull Moment

In the Boerger Household, there is rarely a dull moment. Lately, I've had to "save" the boys from their newest intrigues-- eating fist fulls of dirt, playing with dirty diapers, wiping their hands, cheeks & legs with dirty wipes, taking chunks of candle wax out of its jar and then rubbing the black soot from the wick and edges all over their face and so much more!

On this particular occassion, Cayden kept trying to crawl onto the top of the Tonka truck. Daddy helped him along and Cayden couldn't have been happier. Then comes Camden.... he immediately grabbed on to the truck and started taking brother for a spin. Daddy had to jump in when Camden tried to crawl up on top to sit with his brother. Yep...never a dull moment.

Happy 1st Birthday

Cayden showing his "cheesy smile"

after his cake initiation
Camden with Aunt Lindsay also ready for a bath
I made their tractor cakes & decorated them, too.
Their Tonka truck was loaded with brownies & "worms."

Happy 1st Birthday!

Here are a few people that came to celebrate with us. There were 36 guests, 15 of whom stayed in our home for the weekend. What a great time we all had!

Happy 1st Birthday!!!

We thought this day would never come, now it seems like time flew by! The boys celebrated their first year of birth surrounded by the people we love (& some that couldn't be here, we celebrated in heart). What a beautiful day, even though the heat was enough to cook a person! Thank you to all of you who helped make this day extra special!

Playing with Mommy & Daddy

Cayden & Camden love playing with Daddy!
Scott bounces them on his knee singing, "Giddy up horsey go to town...." When the "horsey" stops, they both start bouncing as they exclaim "agaaain!!"

When Mommy gets on the floor, the boys drop whatever they are playing with to rush over. If one gets there faster than the other, then when the slower one catches up, he engages in a hair-pulling, shirt-tugging competition. They are sure to grow up thinking "Hello, my name is No-No-Don't-Fight, and this is my brother No-No-Don't-Touch." Having said that, they can't be without each other either. What an amazing bond they will always have.

Oh my gosh!!!

Let's just say that my mouth has dropped and I am speechless! The boys were standing at the glass door to the back yard trying to get our dog Branson's attention. Scott & I laughed as they made tiny little fists to knock on the door as they exclaimed, "daahh-ddeee, daahh-deee." Then, in the blink of an eye, Camden reached up and pulled on the door handle. Yes, my very curious boy knows how to open the door. He's only taking a step here and there, so he's really not walking, but he sure can open the door. What's next??!!

Girls' Night Fun!!

Our small-group ladies & I had a wonderful girls' night to celebrate each other and our friendship. Our families have walked together through many circumstances-- life, death, struggles, hopes, fears, laughter, tears and best of all, FAITH. Wonderful women & men, bound together by the common thread of our Faith. I love you precious friends!!

A little love from the Home Front

There's no slowing them down now!
Though they aren't walking yet, they love pulling up on anything they can, anywhere.
Camden (in yellow) is the fearless leader.

"Oh Mom, when do we get to the dessert?!"
Camden even sighed when he layed his head on his hand!

Cayden has no reason for laughing in this picture; he just loves laughing!
