I'm a Cowboy, Baby!!

I love this new phase of life.... exploring the world in a real way, dressed like a cowboy! Thanks to my friend Heather, we were able to enjoy the animals at her ranch.

Here's my hunky Camden....

Cayden found love at first sight! He ran to "Pony" fearlessly, saying "I ride horsey! I ride horsey, PLEASE!!"

Camden was a little hesitant, but he rode Pony nonetheless. What a courageous boy!

And yet, something else sparked their attention......
Ahh yes, who could resist chasing roosters & chickens?!

I don't know where their fascination for animals has come from, but one thing is for sure--they LOVE them. All they want to see are animals, both farm & zoo types. No balls, trucks or toys, just animals all day long, everyday. We are embracing their uniqueness by exposing them as much as possible to the things they love.

Hobbies Start Early....

So you're probably thinking, "Ahh, how cute!" right?? Well, not so cute when they are doing this at 6:45am when the rest of the house is sleeping. That's right....they put on their cowboy gear and mount up on their neighing horse before daylight breaks (Cam above & Cayden below). Maybe we need a real pony ride?

Easter 2010

We were so happy to celebrate Easter with family in San Antonio. The boys are gaining understanding about 'family', so it was special for them to see all of us together as a family.

Every Easter, the boys have had a photo taken with these bunny ears. They've changed so much from their first picture at 7 months!!

This was a tender, candid moment....

This year, the boys were introduced to our family tradition of cascarones: confetti-filled eggshells used to crack on the head of loved ones : )

Emily

Here's Emily. I love that the boys call her 'Memily'. They enjoyed kissing her and pushing her around in her stroller. The boys even "helped" Grandpa take Emily for a walk with Uncle Randy.

Meeting Kirstabella....

Bella is the new baby in the family. She's my cousin RJ's little girl. She's beautiful & perfect.

Preschool EGG-stravaganza

Cayden & Camden (blue) had their Easter Egg hunt at their preschool. They had so much fun hunting for eggs & they enjoyed a great party afterwards. Can you say 'Sugar-High'!!

The boys LOVE their teacher, Ms.Teresa.  When we ask them who their special friend is, they always say 'Ms. Teresa'. Cayden & Cam are the only boys. We're missing one girl in this pic.

Our Vaqueros!!

Not only do the boys LOVE their animal figurines, they also love their cowboy gear. Who knew they would have such a passion for being vaqueros?!

Cayden:

Although there's only a pound & an inch difference, it's obvious that Cayden is the bigger boy. Camden, what's so funny??
Although Cayden looks like quite the serious boy & Camden looks like the more social butterfly, their preschool teacher says that their roles are reversed at school....go figure. We still don't know what was amusing Camden.
