Spring Break-08

My Dad, Cayden, Celia, Camden

Cayden & Daddy

We were finally done preparing our home for family to arrive the next afternoon. The boys were down for the night and Scott & I were off to bed. Strangely, we hear a knock on the front door at 5 A.M Saturday morning. I'm thinking, "Okay, did I just dream that or is someone out there?" Much to our suprise, my Dad, Celia and my brother Randy were standing at the door. They decided to drive from South Texas through the night--7 hour drive! We were so elated! They were able to see the boys at their swim class. My Dad took my place and had a blast holding the boys in the water. WhooHoo for Spring!!

First Trip to the ZOO

Marissa & Cayden, Scott & Camden, Randy

Camden

Cayden

The boys experienced their first trip to the ZOO today. We had so much fun! We felt like part of the attraction as people stared, pointed and stopped to ask if our boys were twins. My family really enjoyed the Zoo as well. Randy enjoyed taking pics with his little nephews! We were tired after walking so long with the boys in our carry packs. They definately don't miss any meals! What a fun day at the Zoo!

Silly Boys!!

Camden & Cayden being silly boys!

Scott & I laughed to our heart's content last night over our silly boys! Scott went in to check on the boys before we turned in for the night. Now that our boys are in separate cribs, they "feel free" to roam about. Cayden was on the opposite corner than where we had placed him, his head up against the bumper, laying on his tummy with his thin blankie tucked in his hand as he dragged it across the crib. Camden began blowing bubbles and "zerberts" in his sleep at the sound of Daddy's footsteps and chuckles.

There is just no way to explain in words the joy that these two little babies bring us! Their personality is so unique and becoming more and more defined. They love to eat all the new foods we've introduced. I spent a day making my own baby food and freezing it -- I want to know that my boys are eating fresh, healthy foods without preservatives. It is worth the effort! I just love the pic of Cam & Cayde with their Daddy, showing off their "spikey" new do!

For Jeff & Heather

I thought I would devote this section to our dear friends and Tyler family--Jeff & Heather. We just found out that this wonderful couple is expecting their first baby! Congratulations and many blessings to you. We are so glad to walk this journey with you, just as you have so faithfully walked with us. I love how our lives have weaved together with the common strand of our faith and that we are now celebrating a new life that has already started its precious strand of life in this intricate artwork of our lives. Here's to HOPE! Congratulations again! We love you.

Hopeful Encouragement

There are a couple of friends of ours that are going through a rough time in their lives. So I thought I would share some encouragement with them and with you. I don't know what you're facing today....perhaps all is well and you have entered a joyful time in your life. For those of you who find yourself fighting to keep your head above rushing waters, I hope this will lift you up.

The Bible says that God's Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). I have read this often times before, but I didn't fully understand what it meant. When His word is a lamp unto our feet, it means we can only see one step in front of us at a time. Other times, when His Word is a light to our path, it means we can see more than just one step ahead, though it may only be the small path set before us. So I encourage you to keep walking the courageous walk of faith, knowing that each step is guided by the precious illuminating lamp of his Word.
