A Little Bit About Boys....

Funny how boys can make a toy out of anything, including coffee containers, shoes, food, bugs....

The bigger & dirtier the puddle, the more the fun....

Boys are allowed to admire flowers, too-- & pick them for Mommy!

Boys are affectionate; the bond between twins is even more amazing.

Boerger Boy Facts

Often times some of you will hear me say that life with twins is hard. It is. Without having family near to lean on and share the load, it makes for some really long days. But I hope that you also hear me when I say there is no greater blessing in my life then the pair of boys God has blessed us with. They are beautiful, happy, playful little boys with personalities & interests that are completely different from each other. We rarely ever call them "the twins," and around our family & friends they are most known as "the Boerger boys."

At nearly 20 months of age, the boys :
  • are taller & heavier than all of the 2-2 1/2 year olds in their Sunday School class;
  • have all 20 of their teeth;
  • have vocabulary of about 75-80 words;
  • still speak their own language, frequently;
  • love to sing songs;
  • eat a packet of oatmeal, 2 1/2 eggs, a banana or half an apple and a whole cup of milk each just for breakfast; an hour later, they are ready for a snack;
  • have figured out how to pour water from a cup onto their brother's head;
  • can run with ease;
  • love watching 'mmELMO';
  • are (gratefully) still in their cribs and take 2 naps a day.

Fun Before Good-Byes.....

It's always hard for us to say good-bye to family because everyone lives so far away. We really wished my Dad could have made it. The boys enjoyed an especially great time with their cousins & great grandparents! When it came time to say good-bye, the boys cheerfully waved to Scott & I, blowing us kisses as they made their way to the door in attempts to leave with our family. We were so blessed to have our family here!

Easter Egg Hunt-- 2009

Cayden figuring out how many eggs he can hold before having to put them in the basket.

Cayden realizing that the plastic egg opens and behold, a few tasty M&M's appear!

Camden asking for help opening the egg so that he, too, can have a taste of the scrumptious M&M's hidden inside.

A few Easter morning pics we took before the festivities began:
Cayden & Camden perturbed that their early morning "mElmo" was being interrupted. They had their raincoats on in preparation for the rain expected to come in the afternoon.The Girls: Sylvia, Me, Mom & Cyndi

Getting ready for Easter....

It seems as though it was only yesterday that we were taking pictures of our 7 month old baby boys with bunny ears for Easter. Now here they are at 19 months. Time seems to go by so quickly. It's just like my friend says, "The days are long but the years are short." We plan on spending Easter here in Tyler and are awaiting family for the festivities to begin.

Cayden & Camden are enjoying the treats that their Grandma & Grandpa Boerger sent them. They had their 1st jelly beans and quickly exclaimed "Mmmm! More, more!"
The boys are investigating the cuddly bunnies that Gramm & Papa sent them. After a few moments of poking the eyes, looking at the paws & examining the feet, the boys gave their approval by taking their bunnies with them to bed.
The boys are excited to open their baskets from Grandpa, Celia & Uncle Randy. They were so excited they nearly inhaled the room-- Gold Fish, Cheetos, bunnies & clothes!

You would have thought it was Christmas-- the boys received so many things from their family. They received their summer wardrobe, shoes, pajamas, bunnies, baskets, snacks & tons of kisses!
