8-Year Wedding Anniversary

Romantic long-stem red roses, dinner, kisses and laughs..... yesterday, January 29th, was our 8-year Wedding Anniversary! We reminisced about the life we have built together. We have had times of laughter and tears, births and deaths, struggles that brought us to our knees and increased our faith, humility, failures and successes, an enduring friendship and a lasting love. We have witnessed miracles together.... two of those special miracles are our sons. I hope that they will grow up to be every bit as wonderful as their father: tender, loving, forgiving, understanding, optimistic, joyful, creative, smart, strong, courageous, funny, responsible, and a reverence for the Almighty God. I am more in love with my husband than when we married 8 years ago. People say women often marry a man that has the qualities of their father-- in this case, it is true. My father and grandfather are extraordinary men, so I think that makes Scott extra-extraordinary : ) Here's to another year in our forever!

Sunny Saturday!!!

Wow! It's a sunny Saturday today. The boys are sporting their new sunglasses and favorite camo vests. It's hard to believe that they are 23 weeks. They are growing so fast. Just yesterday, Cayden and Camden started reaching for their toes. I guess they've realized that those feet belong to them!

Scott and I had plans to wash the carpet, organize the garage, finish painting and do some cleaning. But Scott had a better plan.... we decided to take the boys for a long walk. I love how he makes us a priority in his life. The chores to get done will always be there, but this sunny day will end soon. What a great way to spend the day! Hope you enjoy the pics. We love to read your comments, so don't hesitate. Love to you all.

Love in Abundance

A special friend of mine gave me a precious gift-- Willow Tree twins. They are called "Two Together: Love in Abundance". It is quite a unique experience having twins. I remember worrying that I might not know how to love them enough since there were two babies....two totally different individuals born at the same time with very large needs. I prayed often that I would have enough to go around-- enough love, time, patience, attention, enough wisdom, organization and energy. I hoped I had enough of me to give to our extended families, friends, co-workers, church, play dates, MOPS meetings and other things.

Well, what I know is that God is a God of abundance. He not only gives us what we need when we need it, but He provides in abundance..... an overflow....... an outpouring. Whether it be in financial, spiritual, emotional or practical ways, He provides in excess. So, do I have enough love to split between my incredible husband and two 5-month-olds? ABSOLUTELY!! After all, God's Word says that we can love because He first loved us. So when my cup is running low and on the verge of empty, I ask for a "filler-upper" and God provides love in abundance.

The Jumperoo

What a beautiful Saturday morning! The sun is shining and the temperature is 26 degrees. We had snow yesterday, though it didn't stick around for long. The boys are full of smiles and giggles this morning as they jump in their favorite jumperoo. We are so in love!

Their own Language

Last night, Scott and I were sitting in the living room talking about our day while Cayden & Camden played in their "jumperoo". As we were speaking, we noticed some baby babble in the background, so we trailed off the conversation to listen. The boys were facing each other and "talking". Cayden was staring straight into Camden's eyes as he spoke in unusual high pitch sounds. He would pause, then Camden would return the conversation with lower sounds. They both began to smile and then they giggled uncontrollably for about 5 minutes. Scott and I gazed at them in amazement. We could hardly contain our laughs as the boys continued their conversation followed by contagious laughter. We are so blessed by these little miracles!! I guess it's true......twins do have their own language.

Camden & Cayden, 20 weeks

The boys are getting so big! They love being on their tummies together! They often hold hands, giggle at each other and babble often. They are definately best friends!!

Keeping up with Technology

Well, I guess it's time we kept up with the fast-pace growth of technological advancement. This is our first blog and we are soooo excited to share our lives with you! A sweet friend of mine encouraged us to do this so that our family and friends can keep up with the news in our lives. You will periodically see pictures of Scott, Cayden, Camden and me. We would love to hear from you, so drop us a line or two!
