Home to San Antonio

It's been almost 2 weeks since we've been in San Antonio. The transition has been difficult, but it is for the best. The boys are just now adjusting a little better. We have met their new pediatrician and she is fantastic!  Since we've been here, the boys have tested their boundaries.
They have washed their hands in the toilet (twice) and thrown a bottle of lemon juice in while they were at it; they have chased the small, 14 year old dog and nearly given it a heart attack; the dog, in turn, has urinated multiple times on our belongings, including the boys pack-n-plays, our suitcases, shoes and sippy cups; the boys have learned to climb on top the ottoman and the cement/marble topped steps; they've eaten dog food multiple times, have discretely taken a bag of animal crackers to their room (which the 4 of us share) and dumped them out, eaten a few, then sucked a few just until moistened, then left them on the floor to "stick";  they've come walking into the kitchen with Q-Tips coming out of their ears from I-don't-know-where; All in all, they are boys!
We are hoping that our house will sell soon, though we don't have any prospects at the moment. So while we are in this uncertain time in our lives, I must hold on to scripture from Phillipians: In all things I must be content.

Oh dear. Sounds like Little Arlis of Old Yeller, or Francis of Swiss Family Robinson. I know it makes you crazy at the moment, but they are just being little boys. The more they explore, the smarter they will be. You really don't want a couple of duds do you? Their antics make me so eager to see them, the little stinkers. Wish you had a place of your own. I bet your aunt is struggling with the boys tormenting her dog, etc. Just think how greatful you'll be when you get another home your own, no matter what it's like. Hang in there dear, and remember the days are long, but the years pass so quickly. Enjoy as best you can. I know you are. That's the way you are. Dee
