"Wild thing...you make my heart sing...." Yes, that's what we have. Two precious little wild things! We thought by letting the boys hang out in their kiddie pool today, that they would be really tired and sleepy. No, not the case. They wanted to play and giggle and squirm all over the place. So, we thought we would contribute to their wildness by fixing "the do". Cayden & Camden love the camera and start to smile as soon as they see me turn it on. Hope you get as big a laugh as we did!

Cayden (L) & Camden (R)
Here at the Boerger house, Saturdays are treasured. Today was such a beautiful day! So in celebration of a great Saturday, we decided to head outdoors with the boys. We had such a blast watching the boys interact in their kiddie pool. Wish you all could join us. Here's to super fun Saturdays!!!

One year ago today....
It's hard to believe that one year ago today, I was being flown to Dallas/Plano in an extreme emergency-- I was going into labor with my twin boys at only 24 weeks into my pregnancy. I remember calling Scott and telling him I was being sent to Plano because I was contracting and we couldn't stop it amid the strong and dangerous medications they were giving me. Scott was hoping to make it in time to follow the ambulance, but he was struck with reality as he learned that I was being flown via helicopter.
When I arrived in Plano, I was greeted by a large medical team and was given the statistics of what would happen. I never will forget the feeling in my heart as they spoke of death, complications, developmental problems and more. BUT God is the One who performs miracles (Psalm 77:14). My labor was stopped and I returned home after a week. Do you know the humor side of this? I actually had to be induced at almost 38 weeks because the boys refused to make their appearance! I think back at that time with tears in my eyes. Thanks be to God for our two healthy, 9 month baby boys. What a miracle!

Learning New Things
I know, I know; I always say this, but I can't believe how fast these boys are growing! Today, the boys ate their spaghetti without needing it to be liquified. That's right-- they ate the noodles whole (short, of course). And if that weren't enough for Mommy & Daddy to handle, they drank their water out of a cup with a straw. They took to it so easily! They both wrapped their pink little lips around the straw and sucked the water through until it was all gone! This is just too much! Slow this merry-go-round down!! Great job Camden & Cayden!!

And the award goes to...
"As a new mother, she has already experienced tests of faith. All of those situations have made her a better mother and wife, and drawn her closer to God. She already has words of inspiration to share with other Moms even though she has not even been a Mom for a full year yet. The GOLDEN MOMMY AWARD for Insightful Influence goes to ........"
This was one of the many awards that were given out at the 2007-2008 Golden Mommy Awards for my MOPS group (Mothers of Preschoolers).

Heading Home
Well, our time in San Antonio is up and we are heading home. It's always hard to drive away. I'm so grateful that the boys were able to spend time with everyone for a week. They really missed their Daddy--but not as much as me! We stopped at a park/rest-stop on our way home to feed the boys (Cayden in yellow, Camden in blue). We pulled down the tailgate, laid comfy blankets across it and fed our boys. It was so pretty with all the shady trees. This was the perfect way to end a great trip.

FUN FAMILY TIME
SPA PARTY--MEN WELCOME
Who said spa parties are just for women?! We ended the day with a relaxing facial, men included. We had so much fun that we laughed till our bellies hurt! Although Scott's not in the picture, he, too, participated. My favorite part is watching my grandpa relax with a hot towel on his head! I am laughing again just thinking about it. The night was topped off with an awesome icecream cake from Baskin Robbins. What an awesome memory making moment!

Getting Lots of Love!
Uncle Randy and Camden
The boys are getting lots of love from the family! It melts my heart to see how much everyone loves them. Cayden & Camden are soaking up all of the attention they're receiving. My family has been such a big help. I've had the luxury of taking a nap, getting help with feedings & diaper changes, baths, and even a pedicure! This could become addicting!

They are on the move...
This week, Cayden, Camden & I are staying in South Texas to visit my family. Today, they are trying out their new walkers. They are having so much fun pushing themselves backwards. I can't believe how fast they are growing. So needless to say....they are on the move!

My FIRST Mother's Day!!
What an honor and privilege to be able to celebrate Mother's Day as a new Mommy. I am so humbled by the gift God has given me with our two little boys. I felt so special today. Scott already treats me like his queen, but he was even more precious to me today. Without sounding so cliche, Scott makes me feel like everyday is Mother's Day. I was so grateful to spend it with my family, my Grandparents & Celia (step-mom). Happy Mother's Day to all of you!!

American Idol Fans??
For those of you that are American Idol fans, this is for you. Scott & I are voting for David Cook! He's great! Okay, so Jason Castro?? Nice guy, but kicking him off was over-due! I've heard better karaoke performances! It's about time! Our boys seem to think so, too. In fact, they think they can do a much better rendition of "Mr. Tambourine Man". They have their Two-Man-Band ready!!
Sorry Jason Castro, this is what our own Simon (Cayden)
has to say about your performance:

All Boys!!
Scott's Award
Last night, Scott & I went to the Awards Banquet for East Texas Medical Center. Scott was awarded a silver pin indicating he has been with ETMC for 5 years. Scott & I were talking with our table guests about when we first arrived. I remember that we had only planned on being here for a year & a half. Well, we've made homestead here. It's really hard to be away from both of our families, but we do have many good things here: a great church, friends that have become our "family-away-from-family", great jobs, a beautiful home & wonderful next-door neighbors. We don't know what the future holds but for now, we are here. CONGRATULATIONS SCOTT on a job well done! You are an asset to this company and your hard work has really paid off. You're my hero!
